About Us
(cont'd from About Us page 2)
We believe God is asking Emil to lay down secular work. Since returning
from Colorado, God has shown us on a daily basis the demands of
this ministry. Specifically, that pastoring the 150 members of the
Mesa CMA Chapter is in itself a full-time job. To effectively
minister and evangelize while working another job is impossible.
His chaplaincy to the chapter is an unpaid position that entails
facilitating the ongoing prayer chain, leading a weekly home group
at our house, preparing a message for the monthly meeting, writing
an article for the bi-monthly newsletter, visiting hospitalized
bikers, answering calls and emails for prayer and counseling, as
well as both of us meeting several evenings a week with those who
have needs (we call this our Starbucks Ministry!). We don't have
enough hours in the day to follow up with those to whom we minister.
Emil is also a state CMA speaker authorized to conduct Sunday services
at secular and Christian rallies and events. He has had to pass
up many opportunities to preach the Word.
We believe with all that is within us that God has called us full-time
to this mission field. Our ministry is beyond the boundaries
of the four walls of the church and extends to the highways
and the byways of motorcycle rallies and events, wherever the Lord
leads.
In September 2003 we both started ISOM, International School of
Ministry, in order to become fully licensed and ordained through
our church, City in the Desert Metro Church, affiliated with Harvest
International Ministries. Our pastor, Michael Niva, is fully
behind this ministry and wants to send a team from our church with
us the first time we go out. This is exciting and encouraging to
us.
If God is leading you to partner with us, prayerfully
or financially, please contact us. We
are deeply grateful for the covering prayer of intercessors and
for financial support. All contributions are tax deductible and
a year end receipt is provided.
In His Love,
Emil and Karen Liko
