What is salvation?
I want to accept Jesus into my heart

1) Realize you are a sinner

Romans 3:22-23 - This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference. FOR ALL FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.

2) Penalty for sin is death.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

3) Christ paid your penalty

1 Peter 3:18 - For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.

4) You must repent

Acts 3:18-19 - But this is how God fulfilled what He had foretold through all the prophets, saying that His Christ would suffer. REPENT, THEN, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

5) You must accept Christ by faith.

Ephesians 2:8 - For it is by grace, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

6) You must confess Him as Lord

Romans 10:9 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.... Vs.13 for. "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
