  • A man cried as he told us about his 7-month-old son who was born blind. I asked him if he’d ever asked the Lord into his heart. "A couple of times," he said, "but I’m not sure it happened." "Do you want to make sure?" I asked, and he said, "Yes!" So, with our arms around each other, the three of us prayed together for his salvation and then for the baby’s eyes to be healed.
  • We prayed for a woman who had driven past and then HAD to come back. She, too, prayed to receive Jesus after we prayed for her marriage.
  • A suicidal man stopped and told us with tears streaming down his face and four-letter words streaming out of his mouth that he and his girlfriend had just broken up. He said he didn’t know why he was telling us but he didn’t want to do anything stupid. When I asked him if he’d ever thought of asking the Lord to fill the void in his heart, he said yes, but he guessed he hadn’t prayed long enough or hard enough. Karen and I prayed for God’s peace and for his broken heart to be healed. And as we prayed we saw him transformed before our eyes. His tears stopped, the darkness left him, and even his language changed. When I asked him if he was ready to ask the Lord into his heart, he said yes. He hugged us again and again and said he was so glad we had been there. He left laughing and trusting that God knows best for his life.
