RAGBRAI July 22-23

The Mason City Vineyard has invited us to join with them and make Free Prayer a part of their outreach July 22-23 at RAGBRAI (the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Race Across Iowa) as it goes through Mason City. This events brings 15,000 to 20,000 extra people into the communities on their route. Should be fun and we are praying for many divine appointments and life-changing encounters with God!

Language Barrier No Problem for God

At our hotel in LA, we came down the elevator with a maid who had her arm in a sling. We asked her about it but she didn’t speak English. While we were eating breakfast, she came in. The Lord said, “Pray for her arm.” I said, “But Lord, she doesn’t speak English.” He said, “Pray for her arm.” I asked her if she’d like prayer and she motioned, “Wait a minute,” and got a co-worker who translated my question to which she answered, “YES!”  After praying, I asked if she could move her arm and she slowly raised it up and began to move it around and then with a huge grin, she nodded and said, “Si, si!” Yes, Yes! She gave me a hug and we left! Even though we are limited, God is not!

Sky-High Joy

Our last post was on the way to the roadside and that morning included a celebration of our new spot with several friends stopping to check out the set-up and a great encounter with a lady who stopped to ask for prayer for her 5-week-old grandson but got much more than she bargained for when Emil began to get words of knowledge and prophetic words for her. How great and loving is our God who raised her joy level from way below zero to sky-high! Thank You, Lord!

Eye Doctor Sees Need for Forgiveness

Emil had an eye appointment today and the doctor asked why he didn’t fill out his health history sheet. Emil explained that he isn’t on medication, doesn’t have any diseases, and doesn’t have a regular physician. The doctor was amazed and after examining Emil’s eyes declared that they are in perfect health which told him that Emil’s health is very good! Emil took the opportunity to tell him that he makes sure to stay free of unforgiveness and constantly releases stress to the Lord, two of the main things that lead to disease. The doctor said, “Wow, you really have life figured out. You’re right. There are people from way back in my life whom I need to forgive.” TY, Lord, for the way You orchestrate conversations to open people’s eyes to truth and life.

12-hour day

Yesterday was a 12-hour day  of almost non-stop appointments. We don’t normally schedule ministry like that, but once in a while it can’t be helped. The Lord is so awesome. These are HIS appointments, and He always does above and beyond anything that we–or the people receiving ministry–can imagine! And when we get tired and run out of steam, He lifts us up and fills us up for the next appointment!

Trailer in Shop

The trailer is getting new lights put on it. Took it in today and hopefully will get it out tomorrow. Had a busy Sunday and Monday plus a busy week ahead with face-to-face ministry appointments and calls. Looking forward to being on the road Thursday–looks good weather-wise, too! TY Lord!

Traveling

We’ve been in and out of town this month so haven’t kept up with our posts. Have prayed with several people, face-to-face and on the phone. Last night a lady diagnosed with neuropathy had great relief after prayer and ministry. The pain in her legs was gone and the numbness in her toes were gone! Thank You, Lord!

Severe Weather Warnings

Well, the severe weather warnings prompted us to get down into the basement today and get it ready for any weather emergencies. We pray that the rain and thunderstorms come without accompanying hail and tornadoes this season. In the meantime, our motorcycle is in the shop getting repairs and ready for the minute we can get on the roadside!
